Kai-Zen: Leveraged Retirement Strategy
What is Kai-Zen?
Kai-Zen is not the only strategy that uses leverage. Premium financing was created specifically for this purpose and has been used for quite some time. However, Kai-Zen does the best job of using leverage, but we need to stay away from claims and stick to facts. Also, the content is written for the client rather the advisor. For example, the first sentence states its the only strategy using leverage to protect you and your family.
How it Works
The Kai-Zen strategy is simple. Premiums are jointly funded by bank financing and the participant or employer. The bank financing provides the majority of the total contribution to the plan, and the life insurance policy itself is the full security for the loan.
Compare Kai-Zen to what your clients could afford using their own money. With Kai-Zen, your clients are getting a life insurance policy with a larger death benefit, more living benefit protections, and the potential for even more cash accumulation without the risk of losses.
Is this strategy right for your clients?
When deciding whether a financed insurance solution is right for your client, it is important to understand how the strategy performs in various market conditions. The future is unknown, but looking at the past uncovers some common patterns we can use to our benefit to plan for the future.
